Daniel Amir is a technology executive with has over 20 years of experience in capital markets, finance and corporate development. His background is in financial services, hardware and semiconductors.
Before joining Gigcapital as an advisor, Daniel was VP of corporate development and investor relations at DSP Group (NASDAQ: DSPG). Prior to DSP Group, Daniel had a long successful career in Wall Street as a senior equity research analyst and Managing Director covering the semiconductor, hardware and IoT industries at leading investment banks like JPMorgan, WRHambrecht, Lazard and Ladenburg Thalmann. During his Wall Street tenure he consistently ranked as one of the top analysts in his sector. Daniel started his career in Israel where he was a non-commissioned officer in the Israeli Air Force and then worked for the Israel Department of Treasury.
Daniel is well regarded in his field with experience in capital markets, M&A, investments and financial analysis. He is an active board member and advisor for a number of start-ups in the software, Fintech and hardware areas. He is also an adjunct professor of finance at University of San Francisco and Golden Gate University business schools.
Daniel holds a MBA in finance from UCLA and a BA from the Hebrew University in Economics and International Relations.
